The person behind Stirling's Services

Hi, I’m Samantha Jack — the heart and hands behind Stirling’s Services.

In 2012, I started my first baby/pet sitting business called, Samantha’s Care Services.

I earned a Bachelors in Computer Science from Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland, FL in 2021.

In 2023, I earned my CPR/First Aide Certification along with my 45 Hours of DCF Training.

For eight years, I volunteered at a children’s ministry as a Sunday School Teacher. I also spent four of those years with the American Legion, assisting with children’s programs, veteran events, and community activities — even earning recognition for my service.

For the last 2 years, I worked as an Assistant Preschool Teacher in Lakeland, FL.

And now here I am, starting a new adventure!

Meaning Behind the Name?

While I go by Samantha, or Sam, on a daily basis; I go by Stirling as an in inside joke with my family. A few years ago, my mom thought it’d be fun to rename my brother and I quirky names. My brother got the name Hawk cause she always wanted to name her kid that and it also rhymed with his name. So now how did she get the name, Stirling? She chose it for me because it was also a bird and it started with an S like my name does. 

But the funny thing is, the name of the bird she was thinking of is Starling not with an i but with an a. However, she already like the name Stirling so much that she stuck with it. So instead of renaming me after a bird, I am named after a city in Scotland.

Now it’s an inside joke and a fun second name I can use for things such as this business or anything else fun I choose to do in the future.
